Answers for the Final Clue

Each answer to each clue goes on the Final Clue sheet. There is a small shape on each clue in front of the answer check URL. That shape corresponds to the name of the shape on the Final Clue. So if you see a triangle on the clue sheet, you’d transpose the answer on that clue sheet to the Final Clue where it says “triangle.”

From here you use the strings provided to you in the lanyard. There are two strings. You’re going to run each string from the coordinates provided on the Final Clue. For instance, the Final Clue says, “ESS TO TEE AND DEE TO ELL.” That is giving you two sets of coordinates: S to T and D to L. If you hold one end of the string at the dot with the letter S and the other end at the dot with the letter T, and then you do the same with the second string between the dots with the letters D and L, you’ll notice those two strings cross right over the letter A from the answers to the clues you filled in first. Do this three times, with the three sets of coordinates, and it spells:

ACE

But remember, the treasure hunter said you have to know the value of every hand you are dealt. And the lock has three digits, not three letters. So what is the value of ACE? It’s a three letter word, which means you need the value of each letter. And in the alphabet, the letters A-C-E are the numbers:

135

Which is the combination to the lock.
