Written by an anonymous biologist in 1800s Tombstone, it describes a mysterious creature with strange abilities, a habit of stealing valuables and perhaps a treasure hidden somewhere in its wake. The researchers put their thesis aside. Some mysteries are simply too strange to ignore.
Knott’s Varmint Quest sends you throughout Knott’s Berry Farm solving escape room-style clues and reconstructing the biologist’s forgotten investigation. Each discovery reveals more about the creature she was tracking—and the woman determined to understand it. Follow the evidence, uncover their identities and discover why sometimes the difference between a monster and a mystery is simply knowing the whole story.

The entire game pack of clues, tools, and instructions exists within the black string-enclosure envelope, including the pencil to fill out the clues. Everything you need to play, including the treasure, is in the envelope, just bring the whole envelope and it’s contents into Knott’s Berry Farm.
This quest is not a race, you solve the clues in your own time and at your own pace. You will not need to go on any rides, enter any shops or restaurants, or leave the park to solve any clues.

All Rabbit Hole Quest Craft quests come with built-in help if you need it. Using your smart device, simply scan the QR code leading to the Help Portal provided on the Introduction card in your gamepack to get the location of any given clue, a hint on how to solve the clue, or the answer to the clue. You are never left without the ability to move on should you get stuck.
This is also helpful if any clue location is temporarily unavailable due to seasonal decorations or construction. You’ll always have a way to overcome any obstacles and complete the quest.

We would qualify this quest as a 3/5 Medium challenge, appropriate for questers who can and enjoy solving riddles and ciphers, or enjoy escape rooms or spycraft. This quest has been tested and enjoyed by interested questers 12 and older.

Each person in your group does NOT need their own gamepack. We find groups from 1-5 people can easily share a gamepack and embark on the quest together. NOTE: each gamepack only contains ONE prize for solving the game.
